Pear bezel + basket setting
My first pear setting: a full bezel around the girdle with a five-prong basket below.
Construction
The pear sits in a full bezel that follows the girdle. Five prongs rise from an open basket and close over the crown. Gallery rails tie the prongs together, and a bridge supports the head above the shank.
Next version
I want a lower head, even prong height, and a cleaner joint where the basket meets the shank.
